You are a minimalist. In the minimalist world, you are not supposed to own anything other than what you need. However, you decide that even in your minimalist home design, you can find a vase that allows you to display that beauty in simplicity. What vases then, would be able to exude that simple beauty?
Consider bud vases! Bud vases can be cute, or classy – you choose.
When it comes to arranging the flowers in a bud vase, make sure you choose a variety of flowers—approximately 4 to 5 types. The best combination includes a larger focal flower, another contrasting main flower, and several textural flowers. If not, you could use any stems that are not too much. By doing so, you can allow this combination to artfully contribute to your existing space.
Below are some ways as to how you can use these single stem vases effectively:
Arrange the Bud Vases Thoughtfully
Take a look at the shape and size of your table. Is it round? Is it rectangular? Is it hexagon? Is it following the shape of a log? Begin by considering the shape and size of your table. Arrange the bud vases according to the shape and size of your table. If you have a table that sits twelve people, perhaps you would not want to place a bud vase in the middle. However, if you have a small coffee corner that sits two people, then a bud vase would be just the right fit for you. Remember, they are not just individual pieces, but part of your chosen table, or desired space.
2. Prepare Your Bud Vases with Water
This may seem like a silly step to slot in here. However, many people often forget how important this step is! Please ensure there is water in your bud vases; if you would like your flower to live longer, then make sure you have some flower food inside too. If you own a slightly bigger table, and you feel like having one bud vase may be boring. In that case, put two or three bud vases together, but make sure that water level for each vase is uniform. This small detail should not be overlooked, but followed.
Place Flowers Methodically
Choose the flowers you like most! These flowers are called your focal flowers. The focal flowers will be the center of attention for your bud vases. For example, you would want to put the taller delphiniums or larkspurs to establish height and depth within your arrangement. Then, you can integrate larger blooms like roses early on due to their expansive heads, contrasting colors, and complementary shapes alongside these delphiniums (or larkspurs).
Enhance with Textural Flowers
Incorporate smaller textural flowers such as pink mums, white asters, and white-blush scabiosa to fill gaps and introduce varied textures. Contrast is crucial for visual interest, whether through color, petal texture, or height disparities.
Strategic Table Placement
Intentionally position bud vases across the table, alternating heights for a dynamic effect. Distribute floral varieties evenly to maintain visual equilibrium.
